  • Controller and Compliance Admin (part-time)

    MindEdge’s Controller position will be responsible for financial policies and procedures, as well as a significant part of quarterly finance activities includes working with revenue share partners on invoicing and payment amounts based on sales from that period. The Controller will be responsible for producing the reports, checking the reports for accuracy, and recording the revenue accurately in the accounting system. This person will have opportunities to improve the reporting functions, working with the COO and IT to enhance the partner experience. Additionally, this position will assist with producing the P&L on a quarterly basis. The Controller position in this case will also work on some of MindEdge’s compliance and benefits follow-through work. This could entail setting up new employees with benefits, as well as various administrative tasks as assigned. The expectation is that this position can be accomplished with 3 days per week of work, but requires most of that time be spent in the Waltham office.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Produce revenue reports for revenue share accounts
    • Assess accuracy of the reports and guide any changes in the revenue reporting function
    • Manage cash flow between various operating accounts
    • Develop budgets and work with management on enforcing budgets
    • Assist with the quarterly P&L
    • Follow-up on outstanding A/R
    • Various compliance tasks as assigned

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
    • Experience in bookkeeping or higher-level financial position
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with partners
    • Technical facility with Quickbooks
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel

     

    Salary range: $50/hour, with 3-day per week expectation

  • Quality Assurance Engineer (full-time)

    MindEdge’s Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with the software engineering team members to ensure the code is tested prior to launch. This position will communicate with the engineers on specifications of any new code, and will be responsible for developing and executing the test plan associated with each newly developed feature, fix, or upgrade. Testing is performed manually, but candidates should be qualified to advance MindEdge’s efforts toward automated testing over time.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Utilize Jira for communicating project estimates and time spent
    • Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback
    • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
    • Prioritize and plan testing activities
    • Play the role of test engineer: Design, develop, and execute automated tests
    • Identify and report issues found, then verify that issues are resolved
    • Perform regression testing

     

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or demonstrated commensurate skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Prior work experience in software quality assurance
    • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
    • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
    • Willingness to do manual testing
    • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
    • Willingness to collaborate in a team environment
    • Willingness to accept constructive feedback and convert feedback it into process improvements
    • SQL, PHP, Angular, React experience a plus

     

    Salary range: $55,000 – $60,000

  • Videographer (full-time)

    MindEdge videographers are responsible for editing, filming, posting, transcribing, and tracking videos used across all MindEdge courses. This position will also be responsible for participating in video shoots, including equipment transport, set-up, break-down, and maintenance. Applicants should have very good computer literacy skills and demonstrated experience and/or schooling in a relevant degree program. Candidates should have a willingness to learn and should enjoy variety and new challenges.  Candidates should have experience with graphic design and video editing software. Candidates will have experience with using a video camera for optimal results in different environments and for different audiences. Candidates must be able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a team player. All applicants must have exceptional communication skills.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Edit videos for optimal sound and visual quality
    • Film high-quality videos
    • Use HTML to post videos in various places in MindEdge courses and in blogs
    • Perform quality assurance tasks to ensure online content and videos are error-free

     

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
    • People person who can easily communicate with clients and put interview subjects at ease
    • Understand video file storage systems and processes
    • Comfort with shooting DSLR video (with an eye for composition)
    • Ability to record basic interview audio
    • Ability to flow in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to recognize and fix issues with video quality
    • Interest in and knowledge of a wide range of subjects
    • Use of animation video programs is a plus

     

    Salary range: $50,000 – $55,000 (junior-level)

  • Operations Assistant and Customer Service Lead (full-time)

    MindEdge’s Operations Assistant works very closely with MindEdge’s senior management on many of the daily operations of the company. The position sits at the center of many departments, facilitating communications and processes between sales, IT, finance, and operations. The operations assistant manages the customer service of the company, working directly with learners and partners, and escalating feedback items to IT and editorial as necessary. This position is also responsible for tracking reseller partners and processing orders from both individual learners and major accounts. Office management is a small subset of this position, including ordering supplies for the general office and kitchen.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Monitor and triage inbound customer service emails and requests
    • Daily management of learner feedback processing
    • Manage and maintain partner tracking details
    • Manual enrollment processes, on request by sales account managers
    • Manage and maintain MindEdge’s operations manual
    • Manage and maintain MindEdge’s relationships with all accrediting partners
    • Fulfill access code orders for higher ed accounts
    • Process credit cards and work with MindEdge’s COO and Controller as needed
    • Collaborate with MindEdge’s account manager for technical on-boarding of new accounts
    • Respond to various operational tasks such as requests for information, reporting, and general support
    • Other duties as assigned, which could include additional editorial and additional finance work

     

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Exceptional and proven attention to detail
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • A moderate degree of technical proficiency
    • Ability to improve processes and document operational details for replication
    • Comfort in using Word and Excel
    • Comfort on the phone and willingness to meet in person with major accounts

     

    Salary range: $55,000 – $70,000 (depending on experience level)

  • Content Editor, junior-level (full-time)

    The Junior Editor position is an entry-level position. The Junior Editor will be responsible for developing online courses, writing and editing content, and conceptualizing games, exercises, and activities that assist students in mastering content. This position will also be responsible for continuous improvement and quality assurance processes on MindEdge’s online courses including responding to learner feedback.

     

    This position will focus primarily on highly technical content such as robotics, artificial intelligence, web design, and digital marketing. Ideal candidates will be highly technically proficient with a keen interest in staying well-informed on trends in emerging tech.

     

    Candidates are required to submit a resume and writing sample to be considered for the position.

    • Write content including instructional content, assessment questions, and video scripts
