A MindEdge access code is a one-time-use digital key that will give you access to an online course for the duration of the semester or class period.

The sale and distribution of MindEdge access codes are typically managed by your school’s bookstore. You can either go to your school’s bookstore and purchase a card with an access code or visit its website to purchase an access code online.

Typically access codes that are purchased online are sent to the student in an email with usage instructions. Occasionally these emails are redirected to the spam folder; be sure to check this folder. If you did not receive this email, you should contact the school bookstore. It is helpful to have proof of purchase, such as an email receipt or a screenshot of your confirmation page.

  1. Log in to your student portal or learning management system (BlackBoard, Desire2Learn, Moodle, etc.)
  2. Find the class that corresponds to your code.
  3. Click on the class; you will be prompted to enter your access code.
  4. Enter your code, Make sure that you do not include any leading or trailing spaces. Once you enter the code, you will be given access to the class. You should not need to enter the code again.

No, you do not need to purchase a new code. If you are retaking the class, your original access code and course progress need to be reset. This process will erase any prior work you have done in the class. To have your code reset, contact one of the following:

  • Your school’s administrative desk
  • Your school’s registrar’s office
  • Martha Greene at mgreene@mindedge.com
If you contact Martha Greene, please be prepared to show proof of re-enrollment. This can include an email receipt of registration in the class, or a screenshot of your current class list. In either case, the current date and semester must be shown.

There are a few reasons that your code might not be working. Check the following:

  • Have you included any leading or trailing spaces? Make sure you copy the code exactly and do not include extra spaces.
  • Have you typed the code correctly? The code will not function unless it is typed exactly as it appears in your email or on your scratch card.
  • Are you retaking the class? If you are retaking the class, your access code and course progress need to be reset. This process will erase any prior work you have done in the class.
